The city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is set to welcome a new addition to its international airport with the unveiling of its modern and unique terminal. The construction project, led by Russian company "RT-Group," has been completed as part of the "People's Program" initiated by the Governor of Kamchatka Krai.

The new terminal, described as spacious and capable of handling up to 1145 passengers per hour, is a significant improvement over the current one, promising no crowding. Operations for local and interregional flights will commence on March 31, with the first flight scheduled for March 28.

The terminal's design is noteworthy, featuring interesting solutions that set it apart from other buildings. It is described as being large in scale and boasting unusual architectural solutions, including a dome resembling a volcano crater with large windows offering breathtaking views of the volcanoes.

Residents of the Ust-Bolsheretsky district have had the opportunity to interact with the new terminal building, and their impressions are overwhelmingly positive. Diana Ananieva, a resident of Kamchatka, praised the terminal's size and the panoramic windows in the registration zone. Elena Belik compared the new terminal to being ahead of the whole planet, while Sergei Vidyaev described it as luxurious, cozy, and easy to navigate, with no risk of getting lost.

Current activities at the new terminal include cleaning of the premises in preparation for the start of operations. Landscaping and greening of the surrounding area are planned for the summer, aiming to enhance the terminal's natural beauty and provide a welcoming environment for passengers.

Boardings and disembarkations on interregional flights will be carried out via jet bridges for passenger convenience. With the new terminal's unveiling, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport is poised to offer a superior travel experience for its passengers.
